Microwave Master Chef is a unique food recipe website featuring loads of the best microwave recipes. The microwave recipes on this site have been put on this site are delicious, nutritious and easy to cook. Microwave cooking is quick, healthy and fun. It will also surprise many people that anyone with a microwave oven can cook (almost) any food with it and get really good, tasty results. Microwave Master Chef is not about reheating last night’s leftover pizza or zapping a boxed, processed supermarket microwave meal. It’s about cooking good food from scratch with preparation, fresh ingredients and love. The only difference between the microwave recipes presented by Microwave Master Chef and normal cooking is, instead of using pots, pans and flames, our often neglected microwave ovens with their tech magic are given a new lease of life.
Microwave Master Chef gives us the opportunity to share our microwave recipes and tips with the world and we invite you to post your own microwave recipes too. The site is great for
- parents with little time to cook meals for the family perhaps due to work commitments
- students with little space to keep full size ovens and cookers
- restaurant owners and chefs who want to try a cheeky way of saving time so customers don’t have to wait so long for freshly prepared food
- people like us who were looking for a short-term method of cooking great food while our kitchen was being built
- or someone who wants to try something new
We hope you’ll enjoy using this site and all the delicious recipes and great information it contains. We promise that you’ll be dying to tell your friends and family just how much you can do with your microwave oven.
I had the idea for the Microwave Master Chef website after living for nearly 2 years after moving in to our new home with no kitchen appliances. In actuality, we didn’t really have a kitchen at all! The reason for this inconvenience was that like so many other home-owners these days, we found it really difficult to find good tradesmen to carry out various renovations to our home including building an extension to house a new kitchen.
While we were waiting for our kitchen, we had neither a hob or a standard convection oven. This meant we couldn’t roast, fry, boil, bake, poach, sauté or any of the other conventional cooking techniques we’re all used to. What we did have however was our microwave oven. It was a real life saver. It was a Sanyo Super Showerwave EMG2552. Here it is in all its glory today! By the way that is NOT our new kitchen, the microwave now lives in the shed because who knows when a magnetron might come in handy.
For the first two weeks after moving in to our kitchen-less house, we ate a lot of takeaways and food from our parents who didn’t live too far away. It wasn’t too long before we had been through most of the menus of the local food spots and driving back and forth to mums’ just for food seemed like a bit of a liberty. Out then came the barbecue. This was great fun for another couple of weeks but we and the neighbours I’d imagine, got fed up of going around smelling like walking bonfires, plus charcoal is not that cheap when you have to use it every day. It was at that point, we turned to the microwave as an “interim” solution until the kitchen was done.
My wife and I learned to cook just about everything using that microwave. We discovered that microwave food isn’t just about reheating last night’s leftovers. Nor is it all about nuking ready meals for a few minutes before eating something which bears very little resemblance in look or flavour to the picture on the packet it came in. Microwave cooking is actually proper cooking with real ingredients, preparation, careful measuring, timing, presentation and of course, most importantly enjoying lovely food. What sets it apart from conventional cooking is speed. Most dishes cook much more quickly in a microwave oven than using other methods.
Microwave cooking is pretty healthy too. You tend to use less fat since you can’t really fry. You lose fewer nutrients due to quicker cooking times and less water needed to cook vegetables. Also, because our daughter has allergies to milk and egg, we need to know exactly what’s in our food. Our microwave recipes are cooked from scratch and require mainly raw ingredients, so we’re able to avoid the stuff she’s allergic to and any other unwanted junk.
As well as cooking food, we discovered that microwaves have over handy uses which you can learn about on this site. From sterilising baby bottles to removing chewing gum from clothes, microwave ovens when used carefully can do loads of stuff.
If you’re interested, we’ll also have other information about microwave ovens including their history, how and when microwaves were discovered, how microwaves work, how to take care of them and why microwave cooking is a healthy alternative method.
If you want to buy a new microwave, we’ll provide a microwave oven buying guide where you can ask for advice to get the right machine to suit your needs or direct you to knowledgeable retailers specialising in microwave ovens. We’ll even provide information on the best ways to get your microwave oven serviced or repaired.

What on earth is your quality control dept. doing???? I am flabbergasted and want a full refund…. You can tell it is crooked from across the room…. Seriously???? I can’t even believe how bad this thing is…..

I am so mad I will post every day till I get every cent back for this garbage machine. This was an obvious fail and never should have shipped…. Whoever shipped this has ZERO integrity… You can tell him or her I said that! ZERO you knew it was junk…….
Have you heard of/ tried the Anyday cookware marketed for microwaves? Is it worth the hype?

Call me an idiot, but I’m confused, so please forgive the stupid questions.
Is THIS website the cookbook or something,or can I find a PDF of it online?
I want to read this book out of pure curiosity so badly. Can someone please explain to a dummy where the cookbook is?
When I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove me from that service? Thanks!

With havin so much content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright infringement? My site has a lot of unique content I’ve either created myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my permission. Do you know any methods to help prevent content from being ripped off? I’d really appreciate it.
